DovBear is an expert at playing the race card; he should bring that game to the Celebrity Blogger’s Championship Poker Match. He is all too willing to pick up the talking points of the mainstream media when they call someone on a race related issue. Republican Sen. George Allen has been called to task for calling his opponent’s aide a racial slur. Allen was wrong, Allen should be chastised. The media got this one right, it happens sometimes.
But DovBear cannot simply point out that Allen’s lame comment that “people” don’t care about this issue is stupid and shows further insensitivity. No, no, that wouldn’t be good blog fodder. Instead, he’s got to ask:
Which people?
1 – White people?
2 – Rich people?
3 – Southern people?
4 – Confederate people?
5 – Inbred people?
You see in DovBear’s world all Southerners are racists. Yeah, yeah, he’ll spin it some other way and I’m sure some of his best friends are Southerners and his favorite television show is the Dukes of Hazard. But those of us with both eyes open know the drill. While I, rightfully, take a stand against a racist remark, I’ve got my feet firmly planted on your “redneck”.
This is sadly a problem with the American press in general.
Its ok to be racist against the percieved majority because “they all have the power anyways”- got to love stereotypes.

Yup and those who aren’t willing to think for themselves walk in lock-step with them. Pitiful.

Dov Bear is the hardest working blogger around. After all building up all those straw men only to knock them down takes a lot of effort.

If this is really DovBear looking to drum up stats I’m gonna be very dissapointed.

Of course. Cheap stunts are the only way I can get anyone to read DovBear. Which reminds me, whatever happened to the blog in which you promised to interview a series of J-bloggers. That cheap stunt fizzled out mighty quickly, didn’t it.
BareDove, I wish to compliment you. You’ve done a very good job of drawing the ingrates of the Internet to your circle. They read my blog, which I provide for their amusment at no cost. But instead of appreciating the very great effort that goes into my blog, they prefer to mock it and flock to your side. Gentleman, wouldn’t it be easier if you read something else, Treppenwitz for instance, and left DovBear to the many, many people who enjoy it?

I would respectfully suggest that you do the same, DB. Read a different blog (or maybe read your own and correct the errors)
